“I was blown away”
-Béla Fleck
Che Apalache is the first of its kind: a traditional bluegrass band that fuses a time-honored Appalachian sound with the rhythms of Latin America, resulting in the world’s first LatinGrass music. North Carolina-born fiddler Joe Troop left Appalachia for Argentina in 2010, and through the local music scene, he met guitarist Franco Martino, banjo player Pau Barjau, and mandolinist Martin Bobrik, and the three formed Che Apalache in 2013. Their latest album, “Rearrange My Heart,” was produced by banjo legend Béla Fleck.
