CARING FOR OUR PAST, INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE
COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSION TO THE THEATER. NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
The Historic Crail Ranch Homestead presents an evening that reflects on the history of our area. Engage in the intersection of past and present. Explore the region’s evolution from ranches, to resorts, to tourism economy. The evening consists of three parts:
Part 1.
Explore how the past is preserved in the origins of the names used to identify area landmarks. Through his sage humor and in-depth research, author Dr. Jeff Strickler presents his latest book, “Bozeman’s Backyard: Names in the Madison, Gallatin & Bridger Ranges.”
Part 2.
Time is what the Montana Historical Society is all about, but when a 70-year-old building threatens artifacts dating back to the ice age, it’s time to invest in the future. Director Molly Kruckenberg will share the importance of preserving the objects that tell our stories along with the the vision for the new awe-inspiring Montana Heritage Center in Helena.
Part 3.
The Big Sky Historical Collection is a new digital storytelling platform launched by the Historic Crail Ranch Homestead Museum. The only public museum in Big Sky, snowbound for half of the year, has “gone digital.” Learn how to access the database and exhibits featuring local Big Sky history. customcodex.com/bsco
