A Global Cast of Guitar Luminaries
This year’s lineup features an inspiring selection of international guitar talent, each bringing their unique artistry and style to the stage:
- Lulo Reinhardt (Germany): A grand-nephew of jazz legend Django Reinhardt, Lulo combines Gypsy Swing with Latin rhythms to create his signature Latin Swing style.
- Alexandra Whittingham (Britain): Classically trained, Whittingham draws audiences into her world of 19th-century European repertoire, highlighting lesser-known composers alongside Romantic classics.
- Niwel Tsumbu (Democratic Republic of the Congo): Blending African, Classical, and Jazz influences, Tsumbu’s soulful style draws on Congolese Soukous and the techniques of guitar icons like Paco de Lucia.
- Sönke Meinen (Germany): Known for his innovative approach, Meinen combines technical mastery with captivating performances, making acoustic guitar music original, handmade, and unforgettable.
An evening with International Guitar Night is a musical journey that spans genres and borders. More than just a concert, this is a celebration of global guitar traditions, reimagined for today’s audiences by some of the most skilled players from around the world.
