With a hip-shaking rock ’n’ roll score featuring hits like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’” and “We Go Together,” Grease celebrates Rydell High’s class of 1959 in all their duck-tailed, bobby-soxed, gum-snapping glory.
The Annual High School Spring Musical
The costumes! The dancing! The songs! Grease, the Musical comes to the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center for our community’s spring high school musical, the not-to-be-missed annual event before spring break comes and ski season winds down. This 1970s classic set in the 1950s is a throw-back to drag racing, sock hops and drive in movies with a score of favorite songs like Greased Lightning,’ “Hand-Jive” and “We Go Together.” Sure to be a sell out; locals have been asking for this show for over a decade.
Please Note
This musical (like the movie you and your kids have watched on television) has a minor plot line around teenage pregnancy and characters who smoke, drink, lightly swear, and the existence (or non-existence) of sex is a significant plot line although easy to miss with all the be-bopping and jive on stage. Make your decision about bringing your kids accordingly. The 1978 movie was rated PG.
