The 2021 Bravo! Big Sky Festival kicks off with a ticketed concert at the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center on Friday, August 13, with an intimate concert from Angella Ahn and Friends. This all-star string ensemble will perform the famous Mendelssohn Octet, along with pieces from Kenji Bunch and Caroline Shaw. The group features musicians from all over the country as well as the best players in Montana.

Angella Ahn is the artistic director of the Big Sky Classical Music Festival and is a professional violinist and professor of violin and viola at Montana State University. She is also the violinist of the Ahn Trio, comprised of Angella and her sisters Lucia (piano) and Maria (cello). The acclaimed trio has toured the globe, appearing in such prominent venues as New York’s Lincoln Center, The Beijing Concert Hall, Argentina’s Teatro Colon, and the White House. As a soloist, she’s performed with prestigious organizations such as the Honolulu Symphony, the Louisville Symphony and KBS Orchestra of South Korea.
