Local animator Corrie Francis Parks tells stories through grains of sand. Her fluid animation maintains an organic connection to natural materials while fully integrating digital technology. The evening will commence with a gallery talk, including a live demonstration on how Parks works with sand and light to create animation, followed by a screening of several animated short films. The exhibition leads us through the creative process of animation, from inspirational sketches and storyboards to production art and video projection. As the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center prepares for an evening of Storytelling with The Moth Mainstage on February 15th, Corrie Francis Parks elucidates us on an innovative and up-and-coming storytelling platform.
